Restoring Trust and Connection in a Healthcare Team
Tensions within a healthcare team had been building for years, severely impacting communication and collaboration. The need for healing, reconnection, and space for vulnerability had become increasingly urgent.
Through a co-creative process, we worked with the team to improve communication, acknowledge collective trauma, and rebuild trust. Ritual techniques, systemic work, and principles of compassionate communication formed the foundation of this journey.
The ritual unfolded through a series of carefully designed moments: renewing personal bonds, sharing and processing pain, creating a space for silence, and concluding with a moment of gratitude and celebration. Everyday objects—chairs, water, clay—served as symbolic carriers throughout the process. New team and leadership members were welcomed through ritual; longstanding tensions were given a place.
The result was a palpable sense of relief and recognition. The atmosphere of division gave way to renewed connection. The team regained its strength and cohesion, and the new leader was able to step into her role with confidence and support.
The process was experienced as a turning point - for the team as well as for the for the broader organisation.
